A chocolate affair at Tangle Creek April 10
      The Legends and Legacy Women's Gala and Auction — A Chocolate Affair, will take place at Tangle Creek Golf Club in Thornton April 10. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Elizabeth Fry Society of Simcoe County. The event began in 2007, and was started by a group of women attempting to make a difference in the community.

St. Paul’s Cemetery gates open
The Way We Were
     The opening of gates to St. Paul's Cemetery took place in 1947. The gates were donated by Helena (Lena) Raymes. Lena Raymes placed this entrance in memory of her father, Frank Quantz. The plaque is embedded with the message, "In memory of B.F. Quantz family".
