Jackson pre-trial delayed again
      There could be either a resolution reached, or a trial date set, at mayor Brian Jackson's next scheduled court appearance. Defence and crown attorneys will continue to meet for the next few weeks, in an effort to resolve the legal issues of the Innisfil mayor. The parties met to discuss the matter at the Bradford court last week.

Warm temperatures trigger spring melt

The Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority has issued a flood warning for the Lower Nottawasaga River near Angus over the next few days. However, water has crested in lakes, rivers and streams in most other areas of the NVCA's jurisdiction.

Barrie collecting taxes for Innisfil
      The City of Barrie will be doing some tax collecting for the Town of Innisfil, over work completed on the Lawson Drain. Nine properties annexed by Barrie earlier this year currently owe several thousand dollars to the town, for upgrades completed in 2008 and 2009. So, the city has agreed to collect the fees owed by landowners, on behalf of the town.
