Insulin Pump acquired from community support

Dear editor,

The Crowder family wishes once again to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every person who became involved in our quest for an Insulin Pump for Adam.

Your generosity took the form of actual donations, the wonderful manpower at our fundraisers, both at the Lions Hall and the super successful benefit at CW Coops, and also in the form of well wishes and moral support.

Thanks to another special lady who went to bat with me to negotiate with the pump companies, we were able to secure a pump for Adam and one for his father Paul as well.

Both Adam and his dad began on their new pumps on August 1st, 2006.

We will be going ahead with our other fundraisers already planned; the August 12th Used Clothing Sale and Bazaar at the Alcona Lions Hall, and the August 26th BBQ at Wal Mart on Mapleview Drive. We are currently looking for help in turning our efforts into an official charitable organization to help others in the community.
