Getting ready for the Cookstown Fall Fair

President Wendy Hughson, 1st Vice-Bev Nix, 2nd Vice Dorothy Lange, secr./treasurer Wreford Nix, Past pres. Mike Elines, directors and conveyors of the Cookstown Agricultural Society, met for a meeting on Wednesday, August 10th, to discuss and plan for the 148th Fall Fair.

It is up to the community to support these hard working people in making the Fair a success by exhibiting and by coming to the Fair on September 8th and 9th.

The Historical and Group Display section would be a good place to contribute. Registration Fee: $5.00.

Do you have the following; pictures, drawings, films of Cookstown and area?

Any equipment that may have been used in the 18001950's such as kitchens, farming, spinning, quilting, sewing, etc? Clothes that a man or woman may have worn in the 1800-1950's; Quilts from 1800 1950's or any other craft; Any other item not listed from the 1800 1950's. These items will be in an area roped off and will be secured once the judging has taken place.

Prizes 1st $30.00. 2nd 25.00, 3d $20.00. Please contact Wendy Hughson for more information and to prebook your space before September 1st.
