Former Essa deputy mayor dies at age of 79 Tony Mancini, a long time member of Angus, has died. The Angus resident died in Barrie on Monday. He was 79. Mancini served on Essa council as a councillor and deputy mayor at various times from the 1970's to the 1990's. He also served as a trustee of the Essa Township school board in the 1960's and as a trustee when the Angus had status as a Police Village. He was particularly active in the construction of the seniors' housing complex along Centre Street and as a long time member of St. George's Anglican Church, Utopia. Mr. Mancini is survived by his wife Barbara, three children, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Steven R. Bridge Funeral Home in Angus Wednesday with visitation from 2 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m. |
