P e d e s t r i a n and motor v e h i c l e collision and fail to remain On August 19 at approximately 1:20 am, officers of the Barrie OPP responded to a pedestrian motor vehicle collision on Highway 11, southbound lanes, near the 7th Line in Oro-Medonte. Two pedestrians received injuries from a motor vehicle that was travelling south bound on Hwy. 11. The motor vehicle involved failed to remain at the scene of the collision. Witnesses describe the motor vehicle as a small dark car. Investigators at the scene located grey coloured motor vehicle debris. Both pedestrians were transported to RVH in Barrie. One of the pedestrians received serious injuries. The other pedestrian involved was admitted to hospital with non life threatening injuries. Johnathon Nieman, 19, of Etobicoke was transported to St. Michael's Hospital with serious injuries. |
