Essa F.D. gets high praise

The Essa township fire department has received high praise from the office of the Fire Marshal.

The report presented to council last week said that the "Essa Township Fire Department is a well-managed firefighting operation providing fire service protection to the Township of Essa."

Peter Jobe, a fire protection advisor told council that the department is "a very progressive, participatory fire department. Many fire departments are more reactive than proactive. Your fire department is proactive," he said.
