New Tec supplied building dep't support for Innisfil

New Tecumseth has agreed to review building site plans from Innisfil.

Innisfil has a staff shortage in its building department and asked the Town of New Tecumseth to help out.

New Tecumseth council agreed with the request but not before some councillors wondered if they were not overstaffed if they could also do work for Innisfil.

Innisfil Councillor Bill Van Berkel commended staff for the initiative. "For a long time, we have been in a bind for building inspectors."

Mayor Brian Jackson asked that a letter go to New Tecumseth Mayor Mike MacEachern thanking him for his support on the issue.
