Motor vehicle collision closes 400 for one hour

A three vehicle collision at 6:06 am on Monday morning resulted in the closure of the Hwy 400 southbound lanes. A pickup truck exiting the McDonalds parking lot at Hwy 89 entered Hwy 400, crossing over two lanes of traffic and collided with a transport truck, hauling unistone, the pickup then struck a Pontiac Aztec, the vehicles then took out approx. 30 metres of guard rail. The driver of the pickup truck was taken to RVH with non life threatening injuries.

The 400 was closed as Highway crews worked to clear up the debris and repair the guard rails and tow companies removed the vehicles embedded in the centre median rails.

The investigation continues with charges pending.
