Best Start Child Care Programs now offered at five SCDSB schools

The Simcoe County District School Board is pleased to announce that five of its elementary schools are now offering Best Start child care programs. Implemented in partnership with the province and county, Best Start's mandate is to support children from birth through to their transition into school. "We're very happy to be partnering

with local child care providers to accommodate children in their pre-elementary years," says Kathi Wallace, SCDSB Superintendent of Education. "Research tells us the early years are vitally important, and providing the Best Start programs helps support these young children and ease their transition into school." The YMCA of Simcoe/ Muskoka is running the following child care programs. Each is open from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and operational on school holidays, PD days, and throughout the summer: Harriett Todd Public School Child care program for Kindergarten and School-Age Children: # 329-3996
