Take our kids to work day

Thousands of Grade 9 students from the Simcoe County District School Board will be off to work on Wednesday, Nov. 1. It's national Take Our Kids To Work Day, and many Grade 9 students will join their parents at work for the day.

The day provides participating students with an opportunity to explore career options through firsthand experiences and observances at work sites. Students gain an appreciation for and experience in the real world of work. More than 1.3 million students and 75,000 workplaces across Canada participate.

"Students look forward to Take Our Kids to Work Day," says Jacquie Latham, Pathways Resource Teacher with the Simcoe County District School Board.
