South Simcoe Police On Monday October 16, at approximately 2:00 PM South Simcoe Police investigated a stabbing incident that occurred at a Barrie Street, Bradford apartment. A 45 year old Holland Landing female was assisting her 25 year old daughter move out of her Bradford Apartment when the daughter committed an unprovoked attack on her mother from behind. The mother was struck by a baseball bat and stabbed multiple times to the head and face. The 25 year-old daughter was arrested by police and charged with one count of attempted murder. She is currently being held in custody with a bail hearing on Friday October 21, in Barrie. The victim (mother) was treated at South Lake Regional Health Centre and later released. Theft of Boat and Trailer On Tuesday October 17, police received a call to attend a gas bar on County Road 88 in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury for a report of a stolen boat. Upon arrival, the officer spoke to the complainant who advised that sometime betweem October 14 and October 16 person(s) unknown stole his 12 foot aluminum boat from the parking lot of the gas bar. The complainant indicated that the boat was left in the parking lot of the gas bar after the boat trailer was damaged in a motor vehicle accident. The boat is valued at $1,000.00. Break and Enter The South Simcoe Police are investigating a break in to a Holland St. East residence in Bradford West Gwillimbury sometime between October 16th and October 17th, 2006. During that time period, person(s) unknown entered a detached garage on the premises through a window and removed a quantity of beer. Nothing else was taken. Police are investigating. Warrant Executed On October 18, a 19 year old Bradford West Gwillimbury male turned himself in to the South Simcoe Police on a warrant |
