Greater Innisfil Chamber of Commerce news

The Greater Innisfil Chamber of Commerce is winding down from a very successful 2006. This year saw the beginning of MI5 - My Innisfil After 5 networking event, held the third Thursday of each month at alternating business locations; the very successful Small Business Solutions Luncheon series continued with a record number of attendees; an All Candidates Meeting was organized and hosted at Nantyr Secondary School; and the chamber magazine, In Touch increased circulation to include every household in Innisfil, a circulation of approximately 13,000.

The Goals of the Greater Innisfil Chamber of Commerce are to promote existing business; attract and welcome new business; increase membership in order to achieve those goals; and develop and foster communication between businesses, community and government.

Some of the benefits of being a chamber member include - Group Insurance benefits for small business owners; Special low Merchant Visa/Debit rates exclusively to Chamber of Commerce members; Esso Direct Driver Billing Program, a fuel discount program of up to $0.03 per litre; and networking opportunities.

Nominations are now being called for directors of the 2007 Chamber Board of Directors.

Elections will take place at the Annual General Meeting on Tuesday December 12, being held at Innisbrook Golf Club.
