152 show up at Essa advance poll

The advance poll for Essa voters saw a turnout of 152 people.

The poll, held at the township municipal offices was held Saturday between 10 a.m and 5 p.m.

Township clerk Carol Trainor said that the numbers were down from 2003,when 232 voters came to the advance poll.

"The decrease isn't surprising when you don't have the mayor and deputy mayor races.

The turnout was pretty steady during the whole day," she said.
