Boyer Chev; a showroom with a view On October 23, Boyer Chevrolet made the move from their tight quarters at the corner of King and Victoria Street in Alliston, to their brand new building on Hwy 89 west. Representatives from Boyer indicated that the need for the move was always understood as part of their agreement with Chevrolet, and should have taken place in 2005, but was extended. The previous location was difficult for customers to enter, and had limited parking. Boyer's vehicles were also spread between three lots; the new cars, the used cars and the main lot - making life difficult for shoppers, and salespeople alike. These issues are no longer a problem for Boyer since they made the move to their new 3.8 acre home. The new facility is already fully operational and offers more than just your choice in parking spots. With 10 service bays, (increased from a previous five), extra stock on-hand, as many used vehicles as new, and plenty of open road to test drive the new Chev of your choice, this facility will quickly prove to be worth the price tag. "Before, our customers had to do an 18-point turn to get in and out of our parking lot, jokes Boyer Chev general manager, Jason Boyer. "Now, I don't think that will be a problem." The new building and acreage will allow for future growth, while the location will make it more accessible to Everet, Rosemont and Lisle customers. Owners Michael and Wendy Boyer, bought the Chev dealership in Alliston in 2000, previously known as Jim Burns, and have left its day-to-day operations to their son Jason, and his wife Kate. Their 2 1/2 year-old daughter Jacey is also a special presence around the business, and you might just find her colouring a picture at reception. The biggest advantage to the new location is the addition of the service bays, technicians and new equipment. Boyer has created employment for another full-time mechanic in Alliston, and has recently purchased the equipment to perform wheel alignments on any make or model. They also offer on-site transmission repairs. Currently, Boyer has about 40 used vehicles (starting at $8,000) and about 70 new vehicles in stock. As an opening special, Boyer is offering reduced financing on their 2007 Silverado (extended cab, 4x4). Lease one, for just 388 per month for 36 months, with nothing down. Valid until stock is gone!)
