Crime of the Week - Quick change artist

Crime Stoppers of Simcoe-Dufferin-Muskoka and the South Simcoe Police Service are requesting the assistance of the public in helping to solve a quick scam fraud.

On October 16th, an unknown male entered a Bradford Hardware Store. He made a small purchase and then began to make change for several large bills he had in his possession.

Through an intricate series of distractions and changes the male perform what is known as the "quick change" fraud. The male asked the cashier to make change for the large bills such as $50 and $100 bills for small bills, then continued to confuse the cashier by "helping" her count out the correct amounts and shifting her attention by doing several cash exchanges at once. T

here appears to be a female involved who distracted the other cashier from noticing what the male was doing.

There is no suspect information available other then a still photo provided by police.
