Hair today, gone today!
Ms. Margaret Con, a teacher at Alcona Glen, got into the fundraising spirit last week as the top seller in the primary grades of their chocolate fundraiser, got to cut off her locks for the Canadian Cancer Society. Deanna, a grade two student, was cheered by fellow classmates as she cut off 10 inches of hair for the worthy cause. The students raised $6000 which will used to fund literary resources for the primary division. This was the third time Ms. Con participated in allowing the top seller chop off her locks. Alcona Wellness and Spa Centre graciously donated a free style after school to Ms. Con, who admits she is well known for her talent of growing hair.
