CHURCHILL NEWS

OPP Choir performance
What a wonderful evening on November 24th, when the O.P.P. Chorus entertained around 100 people at St. Peter's Anglican Church in Churchill. This was the first time they had performed their Christmas concert and it was truly a great way to begin the holiday season. Approximately 24 members were able to join their voices and present marvellous harmonies for the happy congregation of people that had gathered to hear them. The OPP Chorus evolved within the Community Policing Development Centre of the OPP. Made up of current and former civilian and uniformed OPP employees as well as volunteers from the community, the Chorus has performed at a variety of Community events within the Barrie and Orillia area. Thank you to one and all who came out and supported this event. (photo below)

Smile: Why is it....There is no egg in eggplant nor ham in hamburger; neither apple nor pine in pineapple. English muffins were not invented in England or French fries in France. Sweetmeats are candies, while sweetbreads, which aren't sweet, are meat. We take English for granted. But if we explore its paradoxes, we find that quicksand can work slowly, boxing rings are square, and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.
