Fatality on Holland Street in Bradford

On Thursday November 23rd, at 5:36 am, a red Pontiac was turning left from Tim Horton's on Holland Street West in Bradford. The Pontiac was struck by a silver Jeep that was East bound on Holland Street. The Pontiac rotated into the North ditch of Holland Street and the Jeep rotated to the South side of the road. Both drivers were injured as a result of the collision.

Bradford fire and ambulance attended and both drivers were transported to hospital. The driver of the Pontiac, 52 year old Jack Abreu of Bradford, succumbed to his injuries at hospital and died.

The driver of the Jeep is expected to survive. At the time of the collision, the roads were slick and frost and fog were present.

Police remind all motorists to use extreme caution when these conditions exist.

Police are also seeking any witness that may have been in the area and observed the collision.
