North vice-chair after tie ballot

Debra Edwards of Orillia has been elected chair of the Simcoe County District School Board.

There was an election for vice-chair with Nancy Halbert representing New Tecumseth and Bradford

West Gwillimbury and current chair Robert North of Adjala-Tosorontio and Essa ending up tied.

North selected the winning ballot in a random draw to remain as vice chair.
