Barrie Man Charged with Child Pornography Offences

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Pornography Section, Orillia OPP and Barrie Police Service have arrested and charged a Barrie, Ontario man following a child pornography investigation.

On Nov. 29, investigators executed a Criminal Code search warrant at an

address in Barrie. As a result, two computer systems, compact disks, floppy diskettes and other items pertinent to the investigation were seized.

On Nov. 29, police also arrested and charged Roy Joseph FORGET, age 28, with one count of Making Child

Pornography, one count of Possessing Child Pornography and one count of Counselling the Offence of Sexual Interference that was not Committed.

The accused was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing and is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on Nov. 30, 2006.
