School child approached by driver in Angus

Essa - Thursday, a male operating a red Dodge pick -up truck, approached a student who attends an Angus elementary school. The student was on their way to school alone at the time.

Nottawasaga O.P.P. officers were advised that the student was walking and that a male described to have messy grayish brown hair down to his ears and a beard of the same colour drove up to them and offered a ride. There are no other descriptors of the driver at this time. The student declined the offer. The vehicle was last sighted westbound on Centre St. The student immediately told a teacher of the occurrence when they arrived for class.

The investigation is continuing.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed any incidents described above where no suspects have been identified or where an investigation is continuing or anyone who has any information regarding these incidents, to contact Nottawasaga OPP at 905-729-4004 or Crime stoppers at 1- 800-222-TIPS (8477).
