SSP Novice AE playing hard

It has been a tough few games for the South Simcoe Police Assoc Novice AE team, but like all great teams they're learning to battle through adversity and find ways to be competitive. The boys had a tough 4-2 loss to the Markham 2, Waxers, but showed they deserve to be one of the top teams in the league. a new line of Will Ferguson, Brendan Young and Matthew McDonald combined for five points. Next up was the TNT Tornadoes.

After spotting TNT an early lead, the South Simcoe Police Assoc Novice AE team stormed back with 4 straight goals for the win. Darius Kondrotas had a strong game on defense, while Noah Wright's two goals and Connor Harfield's two assists paced the offense. The team then traveled to Markham for a 2nd place showdown. It was a tough 5-2 loss for the boys as the couldn't find the back of the net, despite their efforts. The goals came off the sticks of Will Ferguson and Owen Heilemann, while Brendan Young and Sammy Couch added helpers. November 26th saw the

boys rebound with a great effort to defeat the Stouffville Clippers. Carson Gron bounced back with a very strong game in goal, stopping two breakaways. Will Ferguson lead the offense with four goals. Assists went to Garren Kilpatrick, Brendan Young, Matthew McDonald, Owen Heilemann, Christopher Rayner, Connor Harfield and Ryan Davies. Brendan Young and Sammy Couch also dented the twine for the Hawks.

Josh Purcell and Mackenzie Watson played

especially well on the back end,frustrating the Clipper offense all game long. It's been great to see the boys stay so positive after tough games and help boost the

spirits of teammates when they are down. The team's work ethic is something to be very proud of. Thanks boys!
