Brighten a life this holiday season

Local residents are encouraged to donate blood in honour of loved ones

Canadian Blood Services reminds Innisfil residents that their local clinic will be held on December 21st, and with one donation, they can give a gift that saves up to three lives.

During this year’s Brighten a Life campaign, donors will be able to sign a special star to hang on our Donor Christmas tree in Toronto in honour of a loved one, joining in with thousands of other stars representing families

across Central Ontario. Donors can also send holiday e-cards to friends and family through the Canadian Blood Services website, blood.ca.

The goal for this year’s Brighten a Life campaign is to collect 2,670 units of blood in the region and 11, 000 units in central Ontario between December 4 and January 2 to help meet patient needs during the period. Many of these patients are counting on your donations so that they can celebrate the holiday season with their own families.

Please consider starting a new holiday tradition by donating blood and helping others in need. Call 1 888 2 DONATE (1 888 236-6283) to book an appointment. Give a special gift to someone you need—something you can’t get in a store.
