Winterhawks hard work pays off

The Innisfil Winterhawks Major Peewee A team, sponsored by Sandy Cove Marine, played a strong game on Saturday against the Stouffville Clippers beating them 3-2. The team came out hard with strong passing and excellent goaltending by Vincent Fumo. In the first period Brandon Stratton started off the scoring assisted by Adrian Tibando. Into the second period, Stouffville had a break away and with the smart goaltending by Fumo, he came out almost to the blue line and made a pass out to Stratton who

then made an excellent pass over to Derek Roy-Hins who assisted Gavin McVicor as he tipped it over the goalie and made it in, making the score 2-1 for the Winterhawks. To end the second period with 25 seconds to go Luis Soriano came in and made a lone hander into the net making the score 3-1. Stouffville went on in the third period and slipped by a goal but when the buzzer went, the Winterhawks came out ahead 3-2. Hip Hip Hooray, great job on the ice and keep up that hard work!
