Thieves stock up on holiday cheer

New Tecumseth — On Thursday, around 9:30 p.m., Nottawasaga OPP received a report of a daytime break and enter to a residence in Alliston where thieves made off with a sufficient quantity of alcoholic beverages and jewellery.

It is estimated that 8-10 bottles of liquor in addition to a quantity of diamond jewellery is missing from

the residence. It appears the culprits worked up an appetite doing so and also collected some snacks in the form of bags of potato chips from the residence to consume with their newly acquired beverages.

There are no suspects identified in this break and enter and theft yet.

The investigation is continuing.
