Incomplete immunization means risk of suspension for students
600 notices sent out - Records need to be updated by February 7th
      Letters are being sent to parents of high school students this week, warning that students face suspension if their immunization records are not up to date. The warnings are aimed at parents who haven't provided the health unit with complete immunization records for their children. They'll have until Feb.

      Nantyr student Meghan Rumball has been nominated in Innisfil for the Ontario Junior Citizen of the Year award. President of the schools student council, this grade 12 student has contributed to the school newspaper, was awarded the Most Tenacious Player Award from her basketball team, and is co-president of Nantyr's Impact Club.

      It took Nick Peterson two months to prepare a presentation on today's energy situation. These two months were well spent by Nick, who is a grade 12 student at Nantyr Shores Highschool and used this topic for his science project.

Innisfil resident heading to San Salvador
Rachelle is raising money to fund her rebuilding experience
      Innisfil resident and University of Guelph student Rachelle Kennedy is going global. A third year student, graduating in Geography this year, Rachelle will be traveling to San Salvador in El Salvador with eight to ten other students this spring, working in various communities, bringing school supplies and working on community infrastructure development, and teaching english.
