      Dear editor, Last fall's election certainly focused on the lake and the environment. Many, if not all campaigns, put the lake and environment as a priority! So, how are we doing so far? You be the judge. 1) A decision was made by council to shrink the County Greenlands within the Lefroy development project and construct housing.

Update on the infamous JJ
      Dear editor, JJ the trumpeter swan has recovered nicely from her surgery at Guelph on Jan. 17th. She arrived last Tuesday evening at Wye Marsh. She had her first outing in her pen on Wednesday for a short time, and quite enjoyed it. She weighed in at 20 lbs., but needs to gain some weight. However she was otherwise in good health.
