Defibrillators coming to Essa arenas

Two heart defibrillator machines should be in place at Essa township's two arenas by next month.

Council agreed Wednesday night to place the defibrillator units at the Thornton and Angus arenas Council agreed to work with the County of Simcoe Paramedic unit which will recommend the best location to install the units and signage, train arena staff in use of the equipment and provide other assistance.

Simcoe County has embarked on a program to provide public access defibrillators throughout its area.
