THORNTON NEWS Happy Valentine's Day everyone. I hope that everyone has had a "lovely" day! On Saturday evening the Thornton Area Action Committee held their annual Valentine's Dance at the Thornton arena. There was a fantastic turnout, one of the best yet. The music supplied by DJ "Keep Them Dancing" was enjoyed by everyone. Thanks to the generosity of many of the local businesses and community members, lots of guests received a door or spot dance prize. The Thornton Area Action Committee would like to thank everyone who helped make the dance a success; those who donated gifts; those who set-up, decorated, & worked at the dance; those who took the time to prepare for the dance and to those who came to the dance and enjoyed themselves. It is through community supported activities like this dance that the Thornton Area Action Committee was recently able to make a $25,000 donation towards the addition to our library.
