Developer should be thanked, not criticized

Dear editor,

I want to thank Mr. Rumm for saving Lake Simcoe singlehandedly by getting me off my septic system. I live on the 25th Sideroad and my well lies between my septic system and Lake Simcoe. In 26 years we have never had a well test fail other than in one period when a developer was allowed to pump 500,000 from a property south of me. Since that was stopped my well has been fine. The only reason we need sewers here is to accommodate his 3000 plus unit development. Connection (which I neither want nor need to save the lake) will be at my expense. I do not anticipate that the town will connect me with the $24 million plus windfall from Georgian Downs. Do the 1600 residents and the lake a favour. Go away. Find another place.
