Halloween, car show and other Churchill tidbits

CHURCHILL NEWS
by Linda Gerow

Around our house, we always know the end of summer has arrived when the Back Alley Cruisers Car Club holds its annual car show at the Bob Fallis Arena in Bradford to support the Bradford Food Bank.

This year, close to $4,000 was raised and a huge truck load of non-perishable food was collected for this worthwhile cause. Our son is a member of the Cruisers and so over the years, my husband and myself have come to know many of the members and are well familiar with the good this club has done over the years. Not to mention, it's a whole lot of good fun to walk around and see the classic cars. Way to go, guys.

Smile: This farmer had a wife who nagged him all the time.

One day while he was outside plowing the field, she came out and started nagging him. While she was doing this, the mule kicked her and she died. At the funeral, the ladies came up and talked to the farmer.

The farmer nodded his head "yes". The men came up and talked to him and the farmer nodded his head "no".

Well this other man wondered why he nodded his head "yes" to the ladies and "no" to the men. He went up to the farmer and asked him why. The farmer replied," Well, when the ladies came up, they told me how pretty my wife's dress was and how pretty she looked.

When the men came up, they asked, "That mule for sale?"
