Blood drive about giving back
      Bruce Vanden Berg was giving back to his community Thursday evening. The 17-year-old was donating blood at a clinic in the Innisfil Community Church last week. Vanden Berg has donated blood four times. And each time, the needle gets a little easier to stick in his arm.

      On Thursday, Oct. 25, The Arthritis Society will be hosting an Arthritis Public Forum from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Southshore Community Centre, Main Hall, 205 Lakeshore Drive in Barrie. The topic is Hip and Knee Replacement for Arthritis. Speakers include Dr. Michael Korkola, Orthopaedic Surgeon and Andrea Watson, Physiotherapist, The Arthritis Society.
