Economic alliance turns down Essa Township's broadband internet request

      Essa Township's request to participate in a broadband internet study sponsored by the South Simcoe Economic Alliance has been turned down. Township councillors were told last week that the Alliance was going to restrict the study to its member municipalities.

Essa calls for NVCA role change

      Essa council is asking Simcoe County municipalities to support changes to the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority's planning role. Council passed a resolution last week which asks for the NVCA to end its duplication of planning services between the upper tier municipality (the county) and local conservation authorities.
