Winterhawks Major Pee Wee A come out hard and strong

Innisfil Winterhawks Major Peewee A team, sponsored by Sandy Cove Marine, played a strong game on Saturday Jan. 6 against Schomberg beating them 6-1. The team came out hard with strong passing and an excellent job done between the pipes by Vincent Fumo. In the first period Colton Walker-Burns started off the scoring assisted by Emitt Tanner and Connor McGregor. In the second period, Luis Soriano put one to the net from Austin Cole. The next goal, things turned around and Cole took a past from Soriano and scored his first.

With some penalty killing minutes underway Tyler Ewing got one past the goaltender assisted by Russell Jefferies and Connor McGregor. With the excitement building, Cole scored his second of the night assisted by Soriano and Ewing.

Finally into the third period, Jefferies passed out an excellent shot from the blue line right on Walker's stick and he scored his second for the night! What a goal! The buzzer went ending the scoring at 6-1 for the Innisfil Winterhawks. Great job and good luck in the up coming playoffs!
