Minor Pee Wee A hit first round of play offs 1. The Duivenvoorden Haulage Ltd. Minor Peewee Innisfil A team is up against the East Gwillimbury Eagles for their first round of playoffs. The Winterhawks earned home ice advantage for their first game, which was played Sunday night in Stroud. The hawks easily skated to a 5 - 2 victory over the Eagles. Game 2 was Monday night in Sharon, the Eagles started the scoring early in the first, but in the end the hawks defeated them in a close battle 3 to 2. Next game is Friday night in Stroud. 2. The Innisfil Minor Atom Renaissance Nouveau Design A Team weekend results are; Saturday 13th Jan Innisfil 1 East Gwillimbury Eagles 1 Goal scored by Craig Mason East Gwillimbury took the lead in a great game that saw end to end action. In the last 2 minutes of the game Craig Mason (assisted by Tyler Martin) scored to tie the game. The score remained the same after ten minutes of overtime. Great goaltending by Kailen Jeffries. Sunday 14th January East Gwilimbury 2 Innisfil 2 Goals scored by Craig Mason and Lucas Passer-Beaulieu Game two of the series was another close fought game. Craig Mason opened the scoring (assisted by Josh Young and Luke Hibbert). The Eagles tied up the game, but Lucas Passer- Beaulieu scored to put the Winterhawks back in front. Despite great play by Innisfil's defence, the Eagles managed to tie up the game again. Ten minutes of overtime showed no goals and both teams went home with one point.
