Cookstown information news, not a column

Dear editor,

I, and a great number of my friends, from far and near, who are also subscribers to your paper, have been wondering what has happened to the Cookstown News column by Susan Stein?

It is most puzzling as to why we must look here and there throughout the paper to find her news items .

How many of your subscribers have, or will cancel, their subscriptions because of the way Susan seems to have been discriminated against ?

Please don't lose her or continue to mix up her most interesting news items .

I for one have always said if Susan weren't writing such an interesting column for your paper, I wouldn't find it worthwhile to renew my long-standing subscription .

Sincerely Elma (Mrs. Harry) Ross

Editor's note: Susan is a reporter, therefore her articles are found throughout the paper. Churchill and Thornton remain columns as tidbits of information about those particular areas are given. Susan, however, attends various events, and as space permits during layout, her news is scattered throughout the paper, as well as news about other areas in the town, county, etc.

The Scope will continue to bring readers information about various events from all corners of the municipality. It is a shame you only read the Cookstown news, as there are other great events going on throughout our great community.

Susan has not been discriminated against and will continue to cover Cookstown for The Scope.
