Tickets still available for Mayor's Prayer Breakfast

On Tuesday, February 13th at 7:30 am, Innisfil will hold its sixth annual Mayor's Prayer Breakfast. Held at the Stroud Recreational Complex, the breakfast will wrap up at 8:45 am to allow local business people to participate.

As one organizer described it: "The purpose of this meeting is to bring together those who are playing an active leadership role in the Innisfil community and ask God's guidance in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. We are convinced that much can be accomplished by leaders whose principles are influenced by a belief in God."

Since 1964, a National Prayer Breakfast has been held in Ottawa. Other Prayer Breakfasts sponsored by Government, business and community leaders have been held in more than 50 countries.

Organizers believe that prayers, both private and collective, can unite people in peace within the individual and global village.

The greatest threats to peace today are the actions of hate, greed, prejudice and ambition of some to dominate others by treachery or violence.

Innisfil Prayer Breakfast began on February 6, 2002, following the U.S. Twin Towers attack.

Being held under the patronage of the Mayor and the Town of Innisfil, the public is cordially invited to attend.

Guests are to be seated by 7:25 am with the adjournment by 8:45 am. Tickets must be purchased by Monday, February 5th for the nominal charge of $10.
