Foundation gives $5k to Simcoe County Museum
Simcoe County Museum has benefitted from the generosity of the Nottawasaga Foundation when President of the Foundation, Lou Biffis, presented a cheque for $5,000 to Warden Tony Guergis.

The Foundation's donations to the capital fund now total $15,000.

The Capital Projects Fund at the Museum supports projects that enhance the Museum's physical structure to better serve the community of Simcoe County and beyond. By enhancing the physical structure, Museum staff are better able to provide quality heritage and educational programs at the Museum including the many activities for school-age children.

Simcoe County Museum is a County owned facility, open year round to the public. The Museum is one of the leading arts and cultural centres in the region attracting over 30,000 visitors annually. In 2004, Simcoe County Museum began its expansion and completed it with a grand opening in Spring 2006. The new expansion boasts new meeting facilities, a larger gift shop, new exhibits and a dedicated area for educational programming as well as traditional heritage activities.
