Description of suspicious male in New Tec similar to Cookstown

New Tecumseth - On Wednesday around 12:30 p.m. a complainant attended the Nottawasaga O.P.P. Extended Service office on Wellington St. in Alliston to report a suspicious male was sighted two days earlier.

The complainant, a resident of Tottenham, relayed that his son observed a male standing at the tunnel between Tottenham Public School and the Boulevard on Jan. 22. The complainant said his son's description was similar to that of the suspect from the Cookstown area incident.

The male was reported to be standing on the west side of the tunnel and was described to be wearing a black coat, blue pants, sunglasses, a hoodie and had no other people or pets with him.

All Officers in the Nottawasaga Detachment area were notified and have been conducting patrols in that and surrounding areas. To date, no one meeting that description has been located.
