Nantyr student Meghan Rumball has been nominated in Innisfil for the Ontario Junior Citizen of the Year award.

President of the schools student council, this grade 12 student has contributed to the school newspaper, was awarded the Most Tenacious Player Award from her basketball team, and is co-president of Nantyr's Impact Club. From 2002 - 2006 Meghan volunteered time at the Ontario Camp for the Deaf, working with special needs children and adults.

Nominator Mr. Dave Hooper, of Nantyr Shores, describes Meghan as an excellent role model for her peers and "Meghan's contributions to our school and community demonstrate she is a young lady who demonstrates poise, confidence and maturity".
