South Simcoe Police Possession of a Controlled Substance On Tuesday January 30, 2007 at approximately 8:40 p.m. police stopped a suspicious vehicle on St. John's Road in the Town of Innisfil. The officer spoke to the driver, and as a result of an investigation, he located a quantity of suspected crack cocaine in his possession. The male was arrested and transported to the station where he was released on a Promise to Appear and Undertaking with conditions. A 41 year old Innisfil resident will appear in court to answer to the charge. Domestic Assault, Mischief, & Threatening Arrest - Bradford, ON South Simcoe Police arrested a 19 year old Bradford male in relation to an ongoing Domestic situation involving the victim, his 17 year old former girlfriend. The victim alleged she had been assaulted shortly before the relationship ended in December 2006. In addition the victim advised that she had been threatened by letter and by email. On January 26, 2007 the accused male entered the home of the victim uninvited and confronted the victim demanding information about her new boyfriend and threatening him harm. The accused was arrested in Bradford on January 27th, 2007 and held for a Bail Hearing. Domestic Assault Arrest South Simcoe Police arrested a 43 year old Innisfil female in relation to an assault on her 50 year old husband at their Innisfil residence on January 27, 2007. The couple was involved in a verbal argument when the accused slapped her husband across the face. The husband trying to avoid further confrontation locked himself in a bedroom in the residence. The accused armed herself with a hammer and started to bang on the door in order to gain entry. The accused was arrested for Assault and later released to the custody of a friend. Mischief, Liquor Acts In the early morning hours of Tuesday January 30, 2007 police responded to a report of a vehicle stealing mail from mail boxes on a residential street in the Town of Innisfil. Police located the vehicle at a coffee shop and spoke to its occupants. The officers observed one of the females, a 16 year old from Alcona, was intoxicated. As a result, she was arrested and placed in the rear of the cruiser. While in the rear of the cruiser she became extremely violent and began to spit and kick the rear door, causing damage to the window bars on the cruiser. She was then taken to the police station to sober up for a while. She was released to her parents in the morning and faces several charges under the Liquor Licence Act as well as a Mischief charge for damaging the cruiser. A second female, age 15 from Innisfil, who was in the vehicle was also arrested for Breach of Undertaking as she was out past her curfew. She was released from custody and will appear in a Barrie Court to answer to the charge. Domestic Incident During the afternoon hours of February 1, 2007, South Simcoe Police responded to an unknown trouble call for service at a residence in the Town of Bradford. Further investigation by police revealed the incident to be a domestic incident involving a 42 year old male and his 7 month pregnant common law partner. Police report that the 2 parties became involved in an argument that escalated to the male pulling out the phone lines to the house and threatening the female. At one point during this incident, the male threw a pill bottle at the female, striking her in the eye. As a result of the investigation, police arrested the male party and charged him with assault, mischief under $5000 and threatening bodily harm. He has a bail hearing scheduled on February 2, 2007. Domestic Incident South Simcoe Police arrested a 46 year old male during the early morning hours of February 2, 2007, as a result of a domestic incident investigation. The male allegedly pushed his common-law partner at their Innisfil residence during a heated altercation. He was consequently charged with Assault. Break & Enter Attempt Theft Sometime over night of the 2nd and 3rd of February unknown person(s) broke into a garage by prying the lock and fastener off of the siding. This took place at a residence on Oak St. in the Town of Innisfil. The individuals tried to wire the ignition of a 1995 580 EXT Arctic Cat snowmobile. The only problem was the owner was smart enough to take the battery out of the sled. It appeared that the suspect(s) got tired of failing to get the sled started and eventually left the scene. The South Simcoe Police are reminding snowmobilers that sled thefts are on the increase and to take extra precautions with snowmobiles after using them for the day. On Monday February 5th 2007, at approximately 3:45 pm a uniformed South Simcoe Police officer stopped a motor vehicle for Highway Traffic Act infractions. The officer noticed a crack cocaine pipe and other drug paraphernalia. Further investigation located a small quantity of Cocaine. Charged with possession of a controlled substance is a 36 year old Alcona man. The accused was released on a promise to appear and an undertaking entered into before an officer in charge. Domestic assault. On Saturday February 3rd at approximately 4 p.m. the accused, a 35 year old Bradford female,departed her residence and was not heard from by her family until the next evening. During that time the victim, her son, had become worried and had reported her as a missing person with the South Simcoe Police Service. The victim had become concerned because her absence was unusual and because he had knowledge of the accused's drug abuse problem and that she may have been at a residence in Alliston where drugs are known to be used. When the accused returned home on Monday February 5th at 1:00 pm she assaulted the victim by punching and kicking him. The accused was arrested and later released on a promise to appear and an |
