Fatal motorized snow vehicle collision

Barrie Ontario provincial Police officers are investigating a motorized snow vehicle collision on OFSC trail 206 in Hawkstone between the 10th and 11th Lines of Oro- Medonte.

At approximately 2:30pm, four MSV's were travelling westbound on the trail when the rider of the 4th machine fell off directly in the path of an eastbound MSV and was struck. The 4th machine, now without an operator, struck the back of the 3rd MSV. The 50 year old operator of the 4th MSV was taken to Soldier's Memorial Hospital by ambulance and was pronounced dead. No other injuries were sustained by the other MSV operator's.

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are at the scene assisting the Barrie OPP and the investigation is ongoing.
