Attempted abduction of Nantyr student

South Simcoe Police are currently investigating an attempted abduction that occurred on the morning of February 16, 2007 in Alcona. Just past 8am, while walking to Nantyr Shores Secondary School, a 14 year old female was followed by a male in his car who exited his vehicle and made several attempts to take physical control of her.

The female managed to escape and fled to the highschool, where police were notified.

The suspect is described as a male white in his early 20's, 6''-6'1'', heavy set and clean shaven. He was observed wearing an olive green coloured winter jacket, black hoody and light blue jeans. He was driving a smaller red/burgundy 4 door car.
