Public Meeting regarding Bell Tower

The residents of Innisfil and Essa have just found out about a proposal Bell Mobility has made to build a 70 meter (230 feet) cell tower and facility near Thornton. The tower is proposed in a residential area and there is great concern regarding health and visual impact of this proposed tower. This particular tower is in Thornton but this is the perfect opportunity for you, the public, to raise your opinion or concerns at the public meeting held on Wednesday February 28 at 6pm at the Thornton Community Centre. Please come out and provide comments and concerns to Bell Mobility and the community. The next tower application could be near your house and now is the time to ask our municipalities to set out policies and regulations regarding this and future towers that may be located in your neighborhood. Communication towers are needed but the potential impacts and location are reason for concern. Information can be obtained from Dave Johnston at 458- 4414.
