Murderball hits Barrie

With the recent successes of the documentary "Murderball", the Ontario Wheelchair Sports Association presents Barrie's 1st Wheelchair Rugby Tournament at Innisdale Secondary School on Little Ave. in the south end of Barrie.

Barrie wheelchair athlete Chris Stevenson, member of the Toronto Barking Spiders Wheelchair Rugby Team has spent the past year organizing this exciting inaugural tournament.

This is the first time a tournament of this nature has been held in Barrie, and he is very excited to have the Barrie community to come out and see a very fast paced, challenging and very unique sport.

There will be teams participating in the tournament from London, Ottawa, Toronto and Quebec.

The purpose of hosting the tournament in Barrie is to increase awareness of disabilities, wheelchair sport and getting active.

The event is sponsored by Coloplast.
