Five sent to hospital after Angus collision

Essa - Last Tuesday about 5:45 p.m. a two vehicle collision on Mill St. in Angus sent five to hospital.

OPP and the Essa Fire Department responded.

Luc Saulnier, 27 of Quebec, was driving a 2003 Subaru Impreza northbound on Mill when a 2000 Toyota Echo driven by Benjamin Dunnet, 24 of Base Borden entered onto Mill from Fraser and the two vehicles collided.

Saulnier along with two occupants, 24-year-old Leo Nadeau of Edmonton and 27-year-old Sabastien Albert of Cold Lake Alberta were all transported by ambulance to Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie and non-life threatening injuries.

Dunnet was transported by ambulance to RVH with non-life threatening injuries. His passenger Lawrence Greenlaw, 47 of Base Borden, was airlifted to RVH and later transferred to Sunnybrook Health Science Centre in Toronto and is in stable condition.

Mill St. from Margaret to King was closed for several hours to allow for the Technical Traffic Investigation.
