Two siblings assaulted on playground Essa Twp. - On Saturday, Nottawasaga OPP received a report of an assault to two young siblings that had been playing on a playground of a local elementary school property during off school hours on Simcoe St. in Angus. Around 4 p.m. the sibling's parent contacted police with information received from his two children that while playing on the playground on Saturday, swinging on swings, the young children were approached by two male teenage boys. The teens pushed the young children down to the ground and held hands over the children's mouths to prevent them from screaming. The children broke free and ran to hide. The children sustained no injuries. The description of the suspects was that they were 5'8" to 5'9" in height, male, wearing black or dark coloured sweaters and one of them had black pants with white stripes and one wore a chain necklace. No suspects have yet been identified. The investigation is continuing. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed any incidents described above where no suspects have been identified or where an investigation is continuing or anyone who has any information regarding these incidents, to contact Nottawasaga OPP at 905-729-4004 or Crime stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers is completely anonymous and does not subscribe to call display. You will not testify in court and you may be eligible for a cash reward up to $2000. |
