End of the season for Winterhawks Atom AE Injection Depot

Innisfil WinterHawks Injection Depots Atom AE teams run to the OMHA finals came to an end on Thursday March 8th with a series loss to Barrie Colts. The Innisfil WinterHawks Injection Depot finished 6th in the league entering into the playoff.

They faced and defeated 5th place Stouffville Clippers, 1st place Aurora Tigers, 2nd place Newmarket Redman to make it to the semi final of OMHA against 3rd place Barrie Colts.

This team had an amazing year with tons of 6am power skating session and great coaches organizing tough skills practices, the team was destined to do great things. THREE CHEERS FOR I N N S I F I L W I N T E R H A W K S INJECTION DEPOTS ATOM AE TEAM "HIP HIP HURRAY"

Game 1, Saturday

March 3

Innisfil-1, Barrie-2. Innisfils goal scored by Adam Spragg with assists going to Jesse Tsikaris and Stuart Manson. Mason Payne stood tall between the pipes to take this game into overtime.

It was a tough loss for Innisfil with Barrie coming out ahead. Great blue line work by Caitlin Beauvais, Matthew Collu, Tanner Young and Kaleb Gray.

Game 2, Sunday March 4

Innisfil-5, Barrie-3. Innisfils goals scored by Joshua Columbus, Jesse Tsikaris and Adam Spragg with a hat trick (3). Assists went to Matthew Collu, Stuart Manson, Zach Morgan, Walker Curtis, Caitlin Beauvais, Joshua Columbus and Jesse Tsikaris(2).

This was a total team win with Ron Laird playing tough for Innisfil in goal. Strong forward skating by Aaron Shedlosky, Evan DiDiminico and Daminian Butcher. GO HAWKS GO!

Game 3, Tuesday March 6

Innisfil-0, Barrie-3 Innisfil traveled to Allendale Rec. Centre in Barrie for this 3rd game of the series. The arena was big and Barrie came out to play. Great checking and defensive efforts by Kaleb Gray, Tanner Young and Caitlin Beauvais.

Game 4, Thursday March 8

Innisfil-2, Barrie-3. Innisfils goals scored by Zach Morgan and Adam Spragg, assists went to Stuart Manson, Evan DiDiminico and Aaron Shedlosky.

Great goal tending by Ron (Gordon) Laird and strong team effort by Joshua Columbus, Walker Curtis, Damian Butcher and Tanner Young. With the season on the line Innisfil play tough until the final buzzer but could not come up with a win. Great Season Hawks!

Innisfil WinterHawks Injection Depots Atom AE coaching staff and parents are very proud of their teams accomplishments and would like to thank the Barrie Colts team for a great series and wish them luck in the finals.
