Innisfil considers 2007 Tax Levy Operating Budget

On Wednesday March 28, 2007 the Council for the Corporation of the Town of Innisfil will consider a staff report recommending the adoption of the 2007 Tax Levy Operating Budget. The Town's requested 2007 Tax Levy of $12,660,677, combined with amounts required for Police, the County of Simcoe (including Waste Management) and Education purposes would result in and estimated increase to the average residential taxpayer of $135.41 or 5.06% over their 2006 taxes.

Items in the 2007 Tax Levy Operating Budget include the opening of the new Innisfil Recreation Centre, a replacement Town Hall Building, continued Economic Development initiatives, new programs to rejuvenate green spaces for additional outdoor recreational opportunities and Watershed protection in the form of funding for the Lake Simcoe and Nottawasaga Region Conservation Authorities.

For additional information regarding the 2007 Tax Levy Operating Budget, please visit the Town's website at www.innisfil.ca, or contact Mayor Brian Jackson or Ian Goodfellow, Treasurer at 705-436-3710.
